After studying English and Romance languages and literature (English and French literature and linguistics) at the universities of Cologne, Dijon and Düsseldorf, and European history and culture at the Centre Européenne Universitaire Nancy, I passed the state-approved examination as an interpreter and translator for English and French at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Düsseldorf in 1985.
Since 1985 I have been working as a freelance interpreter/translator in a wide range of sectors, at conferences and trade fairs throughout Europe, including in Brussels and Luxembourg for the European Commission and at the Academy of European Law in Trier.
My portfolio includes interpretation for royalty, politicians at local, state and federal level, artists, celebrities, art dealers and experts, on a wide variety of occasions.
